A Nu Way was founded by mother-daughter team Sherrita “Coach Re” and Karissa “Coach Kay”, certified life coaches who share a belief in the power of personal development and what becomes possible when people have access to the right mindset, tools, resources, and support.
For Coach Re, self-improvement became an important part of navigating major life and career transitions. At pivotal moments, access to education, mentorship, new resources, and opportunities helped her see possibilities beyond the circumstances in front of her. Those experiences reinforced something she would carry forward: sometimes changing your circumstances begins with being exposed to options, information, and tools you didn’t know were available.
For Coach Kay, that exposure began at home. As a teen still figuring out who she was and what she wanted for her life, she watched her mother intentionally work on her mindset, habits, health, and personal growth. Over time, Kay began developing practices of her own. Her self-improvement journey eventually led her to coaching and a passion for helping others recognize and develop their own potential.
Our growth also changed the way we related to one another. As we learned more about ourselves, we became more intentional about how we communicated, supported one another, and navigated our relationship. Today, we’re not only mother and daughter, but best friends, certified life coaches, business partners, and co-founders of A Nu Way.
Through our own experiences, we came to understand that the mindset and tools that support personal growth aren’t equally introduced or accessible to everyone. It’s difficult to pursue possibilities you’ve never been exposed to or use tools you’ve never been given.
We believe everyone has the potential to build a life they’re proud of when they have opportunities to develop their mindset, learn new skills, access useful resources, build supportive relationships, and gain practical tools they can put into action.
A Nu Way exists to help expand that access. Through self-improvement and personal development programs, leadership curriculum, practical resources, and community experiences, we create opportunities for children, youth, and adults to learn, grow, pursue meaningful goals, and develop skills they can continue using throughout their lives.
Self-improvement should never be locked behind a price tag. Every program is free.
People grow best together, every program builds real connection, not just skills.
No fluff. Every session leaves you with something you can use the same week.
All ages, all backgrounds, all starting points. Come as you are.
Coach Kay’s path into coaching grew from her own self-improvement journey. What began with changes to her mindset, habits, and personal well-being eventually led her into coaching and a career dedicated to helping others develop their potential. Today, her work centers on helping people strengthen how they show up for themselves, expand their capabilities, and pursue more for their lives.
